Astley steps in to clean up for local chartity

This is the kind of job that is perfect for Astley Hire cleaning equipment. A big space that needs a good clean in a hurry. Hiring these machines makes sense for any commercial operation in this case we were happy to step in with what the charity needed to meet their deadlines.

Below is the charity's press release, it is great to know our service is appreciated.

November 4, 2015

FareShare Lancashire and Cumbria have had a big helping hand from Astley Hire, who have donated specialist cleaning equipment for a day.

With the new FareShare centre about to receive its first food delivery, we desperately needed some help getting the huge warehouse thoroughly cleaned. With so much floor space, it would have taken our volunteers days to mop.

When Justine, from Astley Hire, heard about the predicament from charity director Neil, she decided that she wanted to help. She kindly went back to Astley Hire and found some professional floor cleaning equipment, which they usually rent to customers. They donated the floor cleaner to Recycling Lives to use for a day, to get the new centre ready to go.

Astley Hire is a family business, celebrating its 50th year in 2016. They hirequality equipment, from cleaning and work wear to heating and cooling. They also have an ongoing commitment to working with charities in the North West. Justine is a Sales and Marketing Representative for the Preston area, on hand to help the area with all of our equipment needs – and she came to our rescue just in time!

Charity Resident Tony was ready to go when the cleaner arrived, and got to work making sure the entire space was squeaky clean and ready for food deliveries. Thanks to Astley Hire, we managed to get the space ready, and our charity partners have already received their first food deliveries, which we have been told have gone down very well with their beneficiaries!

Neil Flanagan, charity director said:

‘Everyone at Recycling Lives would like to say a huge thank you to Astley Hire and particularly Justine, for helping us to kick-start the centre. We wouldn’t be where we are without the incredible support we have had from local businesses, charities and residents.’
